Boris Chasin started working with glass in 1983. In 1988 he started specializing in kilnwork and fusing. As a glass historian, glass artist and one of the first in the fused-glass business in Eastern Canada, he has lead workshops in Montréal, Corning, Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville and Portland, amongst others.

Boris is also a lover of music, songwriting, double bass and literature.  In his non-glasswork life, he leads his own band, the Reliable Suspenders of Disbelief.

Boris a commencé à travailler le verre en 1983. En 1988 Il a commencé à spécialiser dans le travail de four donc la fusion et la moulage. Il est connu comme artist-verrier, historien de verre et parmi les premiers a développé le commerce de fusion de verre dans l’est du Canada. Il a mené des ateliers à Montréal, Chicago, Las Vegas, Corning, Nashville et Portland, Ore. Parmi d’autres.

En outre Boris est un amateur de musique, la contrebasse,  la composition et la littérature. Dans sa vie non verrier, il mene son propre groupe Reliable Suspenders of Disbelief.
